My condolances to all of Bill's family and friends. I used to run into Bill at the grocery store once in awhile, and he was always so friendly and asked how I had been. Although I didn't know him well, I have been friends and worked with his younger sister, Jane. So sad to hear this. May he rest in peace.

I recall Bill as a quiet, sort of shy guy, but incredibly sweet.  I know he was in many of my classes over the years but we never were very close.   I hadn't kept up on him over the years, but am saddened at his passing.  Condolensces and prayers go out to the family and loved ones!

Bill's daughter, Lisa Truemper Scott posted the following on Facebook . . .
"Well, it’s been quite an unexpected week. Completely surreal. My Dad died last Sunday and we are just as shocked as everyone else. He was admitted to the hospital from an ER visit on Wednesday night to get to the bottom of the back pain he’d been having the past few weeks that was becoming unbearable and really affecting his mobility. Who would have ever thought?!?
We really wanted his obituary to run on Sunday as he was rather fond of the Sunday paper, but there was a snafu with their deadline and it’s not running until Tuesday which is a bummer. Here’s an unofficial copy. Happy birthday tomorrow, Dad! We miss you like crazy already!"

I'm so sorry to hear about Bill's passing.  He was in my kindergarten class and thought he was the sweetest and cutest thing.  Didn't talk much with him over the years but he was alway nice.  My condolences to Diane and family.  Diane, you must have had a wonderful life together.   What a blessing!

Thank you, Frank, for posting the obituary.  It's wonderfully written.  Surely, the world was enriched because of his life.  Lord willing, we shall all meet again, on the other side in heaven, and have a colossal reunion there.

Really sorry Diane for all your family and so many many friends. Having worked for Kitsap County since forever, it is hard to miss the conversations traveling throughout the County walls. Especially, about him being such a graceful well-loved fellow by everyone he came into contact. His reputation seeped into many departments at the County offices, and as if his retirement didn't cause enough reason to miss him, his passing is surely felt. We pray for you and are really really sorry for your loss.

My condolences to Diane and family.   These are difficult times.  May you be comforted with memories and also receive the strength and support you need.  I remember waving to Bill when he lived across the street from my church on Veneta.  From his obituary I glean that he lived a good life and contributed much to the community.  He'll be remembered for his kindness.  - Beth
