PAULETTE (PERRY) HINSON

STOCKTON SPRINGS - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paulette (Perry) Hinson, our wife and mother on July 12, 2015. A religious woman, she was with her husband, Jerry and children, Bryan and Amy as she went to be with her Lord. Paulette was born June 9, 1948 in Bangor, the daughter of Raymond and Pauline Perry.

Paulette grew up in Orrington and attended Orrington and Brewer schools. She graduated from Beal's College with a business degree. Shortly after graduation, Paulette married the love of her life, Jerry, who was in the Air Force. Paulette and Jerry traveled to California, then to North Carolina and finally back to Maine, where they raised their family. Paulette worked for several years at Angel Stitches and then at The Pumpkin Patch in Searsport, but her favorite job was being a wife and mother.

Paulette's first priority was her family. She loved spending time with them all, holidays, birthdays, and watching first her children and then her grandsons playing sports and skateboarding. She loved the twins, Jacob and Caleb and loved watching them grow into the nice young men they have become, so proud of all their accomplishments. In March of 2014, she welcomed her youngest grandson, August. She beamed whenever his name was mentioned and loved to show off his pictures. With his arrival, her family was complete.

In the spring of 2014, Paulette's dream of owning a home in Florida came true. Her and Jerry bought a home in Brooksville, Florida and she began decorating it with flair. Every piece of furniture, every photo on the wall, was chosen with care and it became a real home. Paulette loved Florida, the adventures, the many new places to explore and she loved shopping. She was truly happy.

Paulette is survived by her husband, Jerry of 46 years, her son Bryan Hinson and his wife Rae-ann: her daughter Amy Weymouth and her husband, Ron, all of Orrington. Her grandsons, Jacob and Caleb Weymouth and August Hinson.

Paulette leaves her brother Ray Perry and his wife, Judy of Orrington and their sons, David and Jason. She leaves her mother-in-law, Beatrice Hinson and her sister-in-law, Caroline Jordan of St. Paul, NC., and many special cousins, nieces and nephews. Paulette leaves special friends, Debbie and Jack Austin, and many more, too numerous to mention. Paulette was truly loved by all. Paulette was predeceased by her parents, and a nephew, Danny Perry.

The family wishes to thank the ICU staff at EMMC for their loving care the past 3 weeks and for the care and comfort that was given to Paulette and her family during her final journey.

Per Paulette's wishes there will not be a service, but rather a time of comfort and celebration of her life at the home of her son and his wife, on Friday evening, July 17th between the hours of 58 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
