MARJORIE E. WARD

BANGOR - Marjorie E. Ward, Maggie, lost her brief battle with breast cancer on September 26, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. She was born June 24, 1949 in Brewer, the daughter of Phillip and Leona Ward.

She graduated from Brewer High School in 1967. After graduation Maggie moved to Boston and for the next 20 years worked in the insurance industry, most notably with the Continental Insurance Co and Sisson Weiner Insurance Co. Maggie returned to Bangor, Maine 15 years ago and had been employed by L.L. Bean for the past 10 years.

She is survived by her mother, Leona M. (York) Ward; aunt, Judith I. (Ward) Orcutt; siblings, Pamela M. and husband, William B. Cahoon, of Wallingford, Conn., Donald P. Ward and wife, Pamela (Mangeot), of Fairborn, Ohio, Ronald I. Ward of Bangor, Thomas A. Ward and wife, Karen (Harris), of Bangor and Christopher A. Ward and wife, Martha (Neff), of Bangor; sister-inlaw, Susan (Pence) Ward of Wichita, Kan.; many nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friends Marilynne and Alan Goldman; Marian and Michael Goode; former husband Michael Aikens; and her L.L. Bean family. She was predeceased by her father, Phillip Ward and brother Dennis Ward.

care.
