Lee Grover, III

Holden And Fort Walton Beach, Fla - HOLDEN and FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - Lee Kenneth Grover III, 58, passed away on Oct. 1, 2013. He was born Jan. 1, 1955, to the late Lee Kenneth Grover Jr. and the late Fay Russell Grover.

Lee was the first baby born in Augusta that year. Lee was a 1973 graduate of Brewer High School and played on their infamous undefeated 1970 football team. Lee was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force for over 21 years as an OSI Special Agent. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a lifetime member of the VFW and a proud member of AFOSISA. Lee loved to fish, hunt and race stockcars at Speedway 95 and Spud Speedway. Most of all, he cherished his family, and especially loved to spend time with his grandson.

Lee is survived and remembered by his loving wife of 38 years, Karen; daughter, the Rev. Angela Tarbox of Peaks Island; son, Lee K. Grover IV and his wife, Kim, of Holden; grandson, Lee Jacob Grover of Holden; brother, Gary Grover and his wife, Debbie, of Holden; nephew, Kyle Cyr of Carmel; special friends, Tom Riegelman, and John and Debbie Luce; as well as many other family members and friends.

A memorial service is being held Friday, Oct. 11, at Teresa Village, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. A service with full military honors will be held in the summer of 2014 at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
