Clarence Higgins

HOLDEN – Clarence L. Higgins, 50, died unexpectedly Jan. 29, 2005. He was born March 11, 1954, in Bangor the son of Galen and Hortense E. “Tennie” (Willey) Higgins. He was a graduate of Brewer High School, and the University College Class of 1975 with an associate of science degree in law enforcement. Clarence then became employed by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department. He then began the ownership and operation of Higgins Video Service. Clarence recently became proudly re-employed by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department as a civil process server. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Martha (Murphy) Higgins; three children, Valerie Higgins, Lindsay Santolucito and her husband, Eric, and Daniel Higgins; one granddaughter, Olivia Lee Santolucito; one brother, Brian Higgins and his wife, Sheila; one sister, Penny Higgins; several nieces; nephews and cousins. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 am. Wednesday, (not 11 a.m. as previously announced), with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, Chaplain of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, officiating. Gifts in his memory may be sent to St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Heart Fund, P.O. Box 1638, Bangor, 04402-1638.
