BREWER – Noel L. McCann, 50, died unexpectedly April 12, 2006, at his home in Brewer. He was born April 14, 1955, in Bangor, the son of Donald L. McCann and Virginia L. (Priest) McCann Watson. Noel was a devoted and loving father and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer. He is survived by his mother of Orange Park, Fla.; four children, Donald F. McCann and his wife, Alisha, of Holden, David L. McCann of Raleigh, N.C., Jonathan F. McCann of Bangor and Nia L. McCann of Bucksport; a granddaughter, Hannah P. McCann of Holden; one sister, Duska Dorschel and her husband, Jim, of Orange Park, Fla. Noel will be missed by many family members, including his niece, nephews and in-laws. He will be remembered by many friends, especially by his close friend, Rodney Coombs of Brewer. Noel will also be missed by favorite pets, Mushmouse and Bun Bun, whom he cared for with his daughter, Nia. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Calvary Baptist Church, State St., Brewer, with the Rev. Roger Davis, pastor, presiding. Private burial will be at a later date.
