Susan Leonora Bonney Golson was born on August 20, 1943 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  She was living in Riverview, Florida, when she passed away on August 4, 2021.The daughter of Ezekiel and Juanita Bonney, she attended Bridgeport schools and graduated from Central High School in 1961.  After high school, Susan went on to Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama where she earned her degree in Education.   She returned to Connecticut to begin her career as a Language Arts teacher in the Bridgeport School System.  She continued her education and received a Master’s degree. In 1970, Susan married William Golson, and, after they divorced in 1985, she moved to Tampa, Florida where she continued to teach in the Hillsborough County Schools  as high school Language Arts teacher.  Susan could be very proud of her 42 years as a dedicated teacher!

Susan was very proud of her adopted son, Wayne, and posted his photo on her profile page.  She also developed a love for travel and shared photos on our class site of some of her trips.   Susan has been described as a warm, friendly person, with a great sense of humor, and a beautiful smile.  We are sad to lose another classmate, but we rejoice in a life well lived!
