Ann became my neighbor in Broadwater when she married Ned. I think of her often, everytime I drive thru the Broadwater Cemetery, to visit my son's lot.
I hope that Ann will be with us in spirit for this reunion. And I hope that she had peace and joy in her adult life that was hard for her to have as a child given her health problems.
My fondest memory of Ann was the night she spent the at my house for a sleep over and she had propped her prosthesis against the wall in my room. I had a HUGE black lab that always had to sleep in my room, and that night she came in and went to smell that "leg", needless to say she knocked it over, scaring the you know what out of us girls and my mom who came running. Needless to say, as she came running, the dog went running and we girls were thrown into fits of giggles! I miss her, but she's in a better place now.
As Ann's "twinster", I could share some hilarious stories right along with the sad ones. I know in my heart that she is with me all the time. Yes--she will be with her high school graduating class this year in spirit. We were best friends as well as sisters. I know she was more shy and quiet than me, but she was a trooper. One memory I carry with me, is her 5th grade class raising funds for our family, as we dealt with the first blow of cancer. You guys were great! Ann knew you all cared for her in a special way as we grew up and went our own way. We talked of the high school memories often.
