Sheridan Wade Helmick, 27, of 235 Pear St., Harrisonburg, passed away Monday, July 4, 2005, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 12, 1977, in Waynesboro, the son of Robert Helmick and Nancy Moore Fink.

Sheridan was employed at RR Donnelly in Harrisonburg.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barney and Flora Moore, and his cousin, Steven Moore.

Survivors include his mother, Nancy Moore Fink and her husband, Jim Fink, of Harrisonburg; his father, Robert Helmick and his wife, Nancy Lee, of Gordonsville; one daughter, Ariel Nicole Helmick and her mother, Kimberly Dawn Miller, of Briery Branch, Va.; and three brothers, Duane Anthony Helmick of Keezletown, Randy Ashby Fink of Elkton and Justin Helmick of Gordonsville.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church by Pastor Jeff Ferguson of First Assembly of God in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.

Active pallbearers will be Duane Helmick, Randy Fink, Justin Helmick, Michael Shumaker, Garry Miller, and Harry Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends attending the service.
