On May 3, 2000, our friend and classmate, John Beyer, was tragically killed during a traffic accident in the City of Brillion. The fatal accident occured on West Ryan St/Hwy 10, near the intersection of N. Glenview Ave and W. Ryan St., in the early afternoon. At the young age of 27, John rode his motorcylce west-bound on Hwy 10, when he came behind a flatbed straight truck that was slowing down. John couldn't avoid the truck as it made a right hand turn into a gas station.  John struck the side of the truck just in front of the rear tires, falling under it with his motorcycle where he was then run over. A Theda-Star helicopter arrived at the scene, but John later died of injuries received during the collision. We will always remember John for his kind heart and loyalty to friends.
