School Story:
I remember the first time we played against Nashua NH, the line of yellow buses on the trip there, and how difficult it was to keep the dog under control. It was so exciting to be a member of the Pride is Alive Committee that year and help organize that trip.
The other memory that stands out for me was when the schools were facing major budget cuts due to Prop 2 1/2. We organized that huge pep rally at the football field and then walked from the stadium down Belmont Street to City Hall. I can remember standing on the steps of City Hall and looking up and seeing the Mayor peeking out his curtains at us. I don't know if I have ever laughed as hard as when Mark Petti (class of 83) turned around and in his bullhorn said "Oh Mr. Mayor,,,, won't you come out and play with us?" Of course he didn't but at least the students of BHS showed our pride and we did with respect for ourselves and our city too.
