Darlene Dee Steele, of Oologah, Okla., and formerly of Broken Arrow, Okla., died Jan. 19, 2011, in Tulsa, Okla. Steele was 62 years old.
Steele was born Jan. 24, 1948 at Watonga, Okla., to parents Flory and Lavina Maxfield. She was a beautician and graduated from Broken Arrow High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
She is survived by her husband, William Steele; children Rachel Addington of Oologah, and Paul (and Pamela) Steele of Owasso, Okla.; sisters Kathleen Paxson of Neosho, Mo., Sandra Egnor of Vinita, Okla., and Carolyn Campbell of Coweta, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at Christian~Gavlik Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Okla. Burial was at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Services were under the direction of Christian~Gavlik Funeral Home.
