Obituary for Paul Gene Pennington

Funeral services for Paul Pennington, age 74 of Hideaway, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 03, 2022, in the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale, Texas with Red Brown and other family and friends Officiating. 
Paul passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on March 22, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Edward Ray and Alleine Ada (Rhoades) Pennington. Paul graduated from High School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and immediately joined the United States Navy and served his country as a Radioman on the USS Trout. After his time in the military, he married the love of his life Mary and then moved to Texas and was co-founder of Best Equipment. At 55, Paul retired, and He and Mary built, owned, and operated the wedding venue in Tyler known as Villa Di Felicita until 2019. 
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Pennington of Hideaway, Texas; daughter, Ronda James and husband, Chris of Hideaway; sons, Doug Pennington and wife, Meredith of Richmond, Texas, Brian Pennington and wife, Tamara of Texas; grandchildren, Gavin and Parker James of Hideaway, Paul, Landen and Ella Pennington of Richmond, and Nathan Pennington of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. 
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 02, 2022, at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
