Jane was a very sweet country girl,in 4-h, rode same route, and hers was another dairy family out north and east of our dairy, growing up.  I last spoke to her at Ralph Harper home when mother Josephine was being laid to rest in family plot. Then Jane died April 4 2000 and I missed hearing about the funeral until after it was over, to my regret.     Jon Helm

Jane and I rode the same school bus.  In fact, she was the very first person to befriend me when I moved into the BA school district. She was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. She was also my very first date (9th grade football party). I kept in contact with her through my mom who would see her occasionally. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. Take care Jane, I know we will meet up again.

I am Jane's younger sister, Billie Edmundson Myers BAHS Class of 73.  I wanted to give you an update on Jane's family as her 40th class reunion nears.  Her husband, Larry Burnett married a very nice woman named Sue Magness on December 27, 2003.  They still live here on the family farm where Jane grew up.  Sue has a grown daughter Jami who has 2 small daughters, Adalyn is a newborn but the older one is 2 now.  Lexi loves her "Pops" and he takes her on tractor rides frequently.

Jane's son Darrel was still in high school when she passed away.  He has grown into a fine young man, a draftsman employed at Zeeco in BA.   He lives in south BA near 131st and 129th East Avenue.  He is 27 years old now and he married in June 2010 to an adorable young lady named Jennifer Moore. He and Jen are now expecting Jane's first grandchild---lucky baby will have a guardian angel all of its own.

We lost Mama in 2002, she never really recovered from losing Janie.  Dad is 84 now and has really slowed down the past 2 years.  My brother Carl, sister Linda and I all have homes on the farm, there are 18 members of the family living here in 6 homes.  Our cousin Wesley lives on the other half of the farm along with 6 other family members in 4 homes.  I consider it the Edmundson family compound (like the Kennedys only without the money and fame).  We all miss Janie and always will.
