William “Charles” Lambeth passed in peace Saturday November 19, 2016. Charles was born January 7, 1953, in Belleville, Illinois. He was the first born of three children to a loving father William (Bill) Butler Lambeth and devoted mother Mary Charles Easterday. He is preceded in death by his father Bill and mother Mary Charles. He is survived by his children, Jason Robert Lambeth and Sarah Jeanette Lambeth; grandson Abel Lee Enlow, son of daughter Sarah and her life partner Dustin Enlow; siblings, Ronald (Ron) Dean Lambeth and sister Carol Kay Lambeth; nieces Ashley Lambeth-Dugger and Kristen Lambeth; and cousins Steve Boudreau and Jeanette Bell.
Charles graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1971 and attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton and International Bible College in San Antonio. He took his first job at the age of 15 working for Paul Fulps at APCO Service Station. His professional career included Bill Lambeth Construction, Bill Cassidy Construction, AKT Trucking, Kreative Trucking, Espo Fire and Water Restoration, Delta Steel, and Steel and Pipe Supply Company, Inc.
Grandson Abel was the shining star of Charles’ life. However, Charles possessed complete and utter love for his entire family. Charles was ever-dedicated to his family and friends. Whether it was having full “adult” conversations with Abel, reading him menu items at a restaurant or simply reading him a storybook, Charles was there completely. As a single father to Sarah and Jason, he was fully devoted to them both. He lorded over Sarah’s slumber parties of teenage girls until all hours of the morning and taught Jason the most important rules of gun and knife safety to a curious young man. Also, Charles was an assistant coach for several of Jason’s baseball teams and proudly displayed his son’s trophies for many years.
His devotion to his siblings rivaled that of any big brother throughout his life. Always there providing help for Carol no matter the request and offered big brotherly advice to Ron whether solicited or not.
His life was not a mere collection of things it was an action and love of them all. He participated in baseball, motocross racing and FFA in his younger years, enjoyed the outdoors, shooting guns with his brother, son and daughter on numerous outings, loved spending weekends at Lake Tenkiller at Mama Jane and Papa Jane’s family cabin along with watching auto racing and old westerns. He would talk with anyone willing to listen about his collections of Zippos, guns, knives, books “and so forth”.
“Pyromania” tendencies seemed to be a common theme among him, his siblings, cousin and children. It mattered not who started it, but he was always ready for a warm bonfire without regard to time or place.
Charles Lambeth led by example all of his life, which was well steeped in the love of God and Jesus Christ. It is for all these reasons and so many more he will be missed, loved and remembered by all those he touched from now through eternity.

There will be a Memorial Service, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m.
