I’m happily married to Charlene. We got married in 2003 in the Little White Wedding Chapel More…in Las Vegas, Nevada. I’ve been married before in the early nineties so Charlene and I didn’t want to do a massive ceremony. Together we have a son, Zach. He is 17 and just graduated from high school with honors. He is on his way to college. My daughter Breanna is 9 and resides in Fayetteville, NC with her mother. Soon, we will have another addition to our family. Tyler Scott Law will be born on June 2nd. I have two other children from my previous marriage; however, I have no contact with them. Charlene and I love Colorado with the mountains, snow, trees, and wild life. Additionally, our three huskies keep us pretty busy.

Professional:
I don’t remember participating in a lot of school activities in high school. Except for one year of cross country, I pretty much stayed aloof due to my involvement with martial arts and tournament fighting. After graduating from BA High School, I stayed around and worked for about a year then I served a volunteer two year mission for my church in California. Upon returning I went off to college. I graduated from BYU-Idaho (then Ricks College) with an A.S. in Welding Engineering in 1994. During that time I joined the Army Reserves and ROTC. Later, I graduated from Utah State University in 1997 with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Military Science as a Distinguished ROTC Military Graduate and received a Regular Army Commission in the Army Corps of Engineers. Furthermore, the Army sent me back to school to receive a Master’s (M.S.) in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Missouri-Rolla. Soon after being promoted to Major, the Army sent me to the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College. There, I competed a second Masters Degree in Military Art and Science. I’ve served in numerous counties to include Panama, Korea, Iraq, and soon Afghanistan. I commanded a company in Ar Ramadi, Iraq from 2004 to 2005 during the height of the insurgency. Furthermore, I’ve visited China, Japan, and several other areas as well. I have almost 19 years of military service with 13 years of active duty. I see myself staying in much longer. My future plans are to eventually command a battalion or a brigade and return to school to complete a Ph.D. in Military History and Paleontology.
