Family and Friends:
The Celebration of J Patrick Aguilar's life has been scheduled.
Moore's @ 1908 S Memorial Dr., Tulsa Ok 2pm this Saturday the 25th of February.
The family would love for all to come and celebrate JPat's life. Feel free to wear your jeans and favorite band t-shirt in his honor!
One night I had a dream...
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
for each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
one belonged to me and one to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us, I looked
back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed at many times along the path of my life, there were
only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would
walk with me all the way, but I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there are only one set of footprints,
I don't understand why in the times I needed you most you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious child, I love you, and I would never
leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."
JPat, the Lord has carried you home, celebrate and rejoice.
We love you and you will be missed until we meet again!

I remember Pat well, although it's been so many years ago. I wasn't in what was considered his 'close circle' of friends, but what I recall the most (and I mean this in all sincerity) is him being really goofy and friendly, with everyone liking him.
It doesn't surprise me that his memorial announcement requested his friends and classmates to wear jeans and their favorite band t-shirts to honor him. He was just that kind of guy, not pretentious, down-to-earth and never worrying about trying to impress, just being himself. Maybe if you could bottle coolness, it would've been Pat.
I wish his family, close friends and classmates my sincerest condolences at this time. Time does heal the pain, but even after that has eased, we'll still have the memories and that will keep him with us.
