Lawrence Russell Barr, son of Larry Wayne and Rebecca Jane Rutland Barr, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Tulsa. Russell was born July 23, 1970 in Knoxville, TN. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1989 and attended OSU.

Russell worked as a Lead Gardener for Helmerich & Payne at Utica Square Shopping Center for sixteen years. He was an accomplished soccer player during high school, having played eighteen months for the Aston Villa soccer team in England. He also enjoyed duck hunting, ice hockey, and was very proud of his daughter, Betsy.

Russell will be remembered for being full of life, his big smile, his unconditional love, his contagious laugh, and being a true friend to many. He was a kind, generous soul who touched everyone’s life in some way.

Russell is survived by his wife, Jessica Judd Barr; daughter, Betsy Barr; mother, Rebecca Jane Barr and her husband, Steve Stichman; sister, Sarah Jane Barr-Carr and her fiancé, Robert Cooper; mother-in-law, Joan Taylor and her husband, Dr. Robert Taylor; father-in law, the late Randy Judd; sister-in-law, Sarah Judd Alt and her husband, Jonathan Alt; and brother-in-law, Jack Judd and his wife, Jamie Judd.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2016 at Kirk of the Hills Church, Tulsa.
