Kelly was involved in a car accident while working for State Farm about 10 yrs ago. The accident happened while coming back from OKC on I-44. In the accident she broke her back. for the next few years She had to take pain medication just just to make it through the day. The meds finally got the best of her. Kelly was never married and just had one daughter (Lauren). They were living at Indian Springs Appartments in Broken Arrow where she was found. Kelly was a great mother to Lauren, you rarely saw the two of them apart. Lauren was here life. Kelly was layed to rest at Park Grove in Broken Arrow on November 4 2005.

Kelly was such a sweet girl. I will always treasure our friendship.My last memory was running into her at Sesame Street Live where I met her daughter Lauren for the first time while I was taking my niece and nephew to see the show. I wish we would have stayed in touch. You will be missed.

Kelly was a gorgeous girl and a true sweetie. My mom shared with me a article from the BA newspaper that said Lauren was homecoming queen her Senior year at B.A.! Kelly would have been sooooo proud!Traci Martin (Dunaway)
Kelly and I lived in the same neighborhood and we would ride with each other as needed. It gave us time to catch up. I always thought Kelly had the most beautiful face. She had a bright smile and never met a stranger! We will miss you!David Elbert

This still really shocks me to this day and I think about her often.I was visiting some friends and saw Kelly about a week before she died. She looked really good and had a smile on her face despite the pain she was in.
