Mitch Berensen sent this to me, it says a great deal about Aaron.

I read Aaron's obituary and thought something a bit more interesting than cause of death would serve his memory. Aaron completed high school with honors and enlisted in the air force. He was stationed in England before being sent to desert storm as a battlefield medic. He commented to me that he would pick up downed solders over his head and carry them to safety. This for a man 6 foot 8 inches is an amazing feat. He received a purple heart when his helicopter was shot down over Iraq. Aaron was a very modest person so he didn't discuss these events more than once but I know how important this service was to him. Certainly in high school, Aaron was part of the drag racing crowd and carried this forward in England by building and racing cars and motorcycles while in the military. He returned to the US after serving 4 years and continued his love for racing while taking college classes in the healthcare field. His last project was a turbo charged sport bike. Aaron's ashes were spread on the big end at the Tulsa drag strip. To this day, when I find my way to Tulsa and to the race track, I'll make a pass and say hello to Aaron as I hit the timing lights at the end of the quarter mile. I couldn't find the words at the funeral to comment on his life and what he meant to me. A better friend never shared the earth with us and those touched by his life recall often his memory with a warm smile.
