Chris was born in Tulsa on July 13, 1971, the son of Larry Dale and Beverley Agnes (Pennock) Minor. Chris died at his residence in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on June 23, 2015. He was 43 years of age.

Christopher is survived by his parents, Larry and Beverley Minor, Broken Arrow; grandmother, Eleanor Haycox, Broken Arrow; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Bob Wattam, Broken Arrow, and Berea and Tim VanPatten , Ft. Scott, KS; cousins, Becky, Bobby, Beth Ann, Heather, Jason, and Billy; best friend, Randy Linn, Broken Arrow; several great aunts, uncles, other cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. W.H. and Helen Pennock , and grandfather, Johnny Dale Minor.

Christopher was a 1989 graduate of Broken Arrow High School. He attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he studied Marketing Management and Visual Display.

Chris was an entrepreneur and business owner for many years. He started Main Street Merchants in Broken Arrow. He opened Antique Centre at age 17, which later became Century House Antiques. Chris was a member of the Arts & Humanities Council and taught an antique class at Tulsa Junior College. He was often referred to as "Broken Arrow's Youngest Merchant".

Chris participated in the National Decca Competition in Orlando, Florida. He created displays for the Tulsa State Fair for 15 years in the Competitive Exhibits Department, and won numerous awards for them at International Competitions with a million or more attendants. At the age of 5, Chris climbed up on the organ bench and picked out "The Little Drummer Boy". Never taking piano lessons, he could play any song he heard. He also played trumpet in the middle school band.

Chris loved playing and writing Gospel Music. Being a Christian and serving the Lord was a lifelong passion. "We all have a purpose and calling in this lifeThe beauty in life is not how much one can accomplish but how much one can give to others while doing so" - written by Chris.

Funeral service has been scheduled for 10 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Faith Fellowship Church in Broken Arrow. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home of Broken Arrow.
