Thanks for sharing and hope you are doing well. I will not be able to attend any of the Reunion weekend events, due to work committments, so will miss seeing you and catching up.
Thank you, Tim, for sharing more fully about the struggles, accomplishments, and joy of Peter's life. Peter was in my French class with Dr. Szabo and my impression of him at that time was of someone very bright and rather nerdy. I recall the two of you suddenly appearing in our grade, but never knew where you came from or how many siblings you had. Thankfully, via your sister on Facebook, I was able to find you after many years and look forward to seeing you in a few days time. How fortunate Peter was to have such a devoted brother.
Hey Tim, wonderful to read this beautiful tribute and to fill us in on Peter's life. I think "Rain Man" is very much how I remember him. Lovely, funny, gentle and enthusiastic! His slight awkwardness now has a context I didn't know. Thanks for sharing and helping us retrieve our fond memories of him - and you.
It would have been a blast seeing you again but alas it is a long and expensive trip and were back in NY for a post-COVID family catch up just last year. If you ever find time to make it to Oz please let me know and come visit with us. Sorensen was here just a few months ago and we spent time with Murray earlier.
I remember Peter as being very sweet but I had no idea of what he was going through. Your telling of his story of overcoming his challenges and having such a happy and productive life is heartwarming and inspiring!
Beautiful tribute to your brother. I remember him as being quiet, but friendly. I wish we had known what he was going through....but then, as high schoolers, it might not have helped. I'm glad to hear that he found his place in the world and was loved and admired for it.
What a beautiful tribute. So sorry for your loss. How wonderful though he had a life well lived with love and joy in spite of the difficulties. Thank you for sharing. See you soon
Thank you so much for sharing. I knew your brother slightly in high school and he was always very nice and kind, I wish I had known him better. It must have been a very interesting life
Thank you for sharing the story of Peter's life. It brought me to tears to learn about his struggles. I remember him as very kind to other people. He was blessed to have such a loving and supportive family.
What a loving tribute to Peter, Tim. I had no idea of what he was going through, and wish I could have done something to be a better friend. This is truly heartwrenching, what a brave, kind and gentle soul he was. And insanely smart! I do remember reading his obituary and smiling at how loved he was by all who knew him. He was a sweetie, and a soul gone too soon. Thank you for sharing the true Peter with us, he really was a gift.
