Aside from having a crush on him and his surfer good looks in 5th grade Bobby taught me how to whistle without using my fingers.  He would smile to know how often I use it and think of him when I do or mention him whenever anyone asks "how'd you learn how to do that?"

I have such a vivid memory of Bob in elementary school. We had formed an "I love Bobby" fan club and we wrote him a note telling him of this and delivered it at recess. He was very unimpressed and replied on the hand delivered note written in pencil, "Drop Dead." We were crushed and I believe our fan club had to disband after that blow. 😉
Another memory I have is before a high school dance Greg and I were invited to his house for dinner. His mother served corn on the cob and baby back ribs! The boys ravaged it and Bob's date, I am thinking it was Yvonne and I were eating very "light" that night. Such a fun loving person and yes, just as Patricia said, those surfer boy good looks.

In elementary school I lived around the corner from him on Sturgis Road--he lived on Sunny Brae.  I remember when he moved into the neighborhood and, for me, it was love at first sight.  I used to chase him around the neighborhood, to no avail.  After 5th grade my family moved to Switzerland and when we moved back when I was in 8th, he was all Yvonne's.
