Mark and I were generally seated next to each other alphabetically. We both lost our fathers in high school so we belonged to the club no one wanted to join. I found his presence comforting. I'm sorry to hear he has passed and especially on December 28 -- that day that changed my life in 1972.
It is amazing how clueless teenagers are as I had no idea that either you or Mark both lost your fathers at that time. Mark was a "lifer" attending Bronxville School from kindergarten through graduation. My memories of him are more from him being a terror on the playground in elementary school (as were most of the boys). I was very sad to hear from his sister, Linda, of his passing when we tried to locate him in past reunions.

I wasn't aware of that either. I was lost in pain and fog of my father's battle with cancer and joined that unenviable club the first year of college.
