Gene was born on June 24, 1960 and passed away in Canton, Texas on June 10, 2008 from renal cancer.  He is survived by one son, Bradley Wright; his parents, Bobby and Virgie Wright; one brother, Wayne Wright, and his sisters, Diane Wright Arnold and Rhonda Wright Hillin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
