Thomas W. Woodyard

Thomas W. Woodyard

I just got word that Tommy Woodyard passed away last week.  He will be cremated with no service planned.  If that changes I'll send a notification.  Thanks to Kenneth Williamson for passing this on to me.

Tommy Woodyard was one of the kindest, sweetest guys and I was so privileged to call him my friend.  Henry Brewer drove Tommy and I to SFA every morning our sophomore and junior years at SFA ,and Tommy took over the chauffer postion our senior year, and we would also swing by and pick up Mary Lynn. He always helped to get the day started in a good way - we had so much fun. Tommy was always in a good mood and friendly to everyone, and he also treated all the teachers with respect.  I was privileged to reconnect with him when I moved back to Bryan and he was still living here.  He adored his wife that he lost at a very young age,  and that was such a trying and painful time for him. Tommy was always a "glass half full" person and it was always nice to spend time with him. What a sad day to see this notification, but am so blessed to have known him at such a wonderful growing up time.
