What have you been up to in the last 20 years?

I worked at several retail stores including Party Zone, Carlton Cards, and Camelot Music at Randhurst after graduating.

In 1996, I started working at Crate & Barrel in the distribution warehouse as a picker/ packer.

Rick and I bought a house in Wheeling in August 1998 and were married in October 1998. The Crate & Barrel Distribution Center relocated in July 1999 where I also changed my focus to Packaging and Shipping. During these years, we made several trips to Pennsylvania and Florida. We welcomed our first child Andrea in December 2004.

We lost my father after a long and valiant fight with cancer in 2006. In February 2007, I moved to the Crate & Barrel Corporate offices in Northbrook to be a Purchasing Buyer for all Packaging Materials. After being with Crate & Barrel for almost 13 years, I made the choice to leave and look for some new challenge.

I went on 2 interviews and accepted the position that I currently have now at US Foodservice. I work as a Market Basket Coordinator or Bid Analyist focusing on Healthcare and Education.

Illinoi

Do you have any Vices? If yes, what?

No

Do you have a tattoo? Describe.

No

What did you want to be/do when you grew up? Are you?

I wanted to be a music teacher which I did for a few years privately but never in the public schools. My teaching certificate lapsed in June 2006.

What would the 1990 version of you be most surprised about the 2010 version?

I would've never had thought that I would've married Rick. He and I were really good friends but we never guessed that we felt the same way about each other until my boyfriend from college screwed up.

I thought being a music teacher would be the perfect job for me...but after student teaching I decided it wasn't for me.

I always was the shy and diminuitive type in high school and now I am more confident and assertive.

I would be surprised how relaxed a parent I am and that I couldn't be a stay at home Mom although it would be nice. I just don't fit in.

I would be surprised that I don't play the cello as much as I would like for all the hours spent locked in a room practicing.

High School Memories (i.e. secret crush, embarrassing moment, funniest memory, favorite hang out, favorite teachers):

My secret crush was my husband...LOL

My favorite hang out was the theater loft with the big orange chair being the seat of choice.

I don't have any embarrasing moments that I can remember...

What songs remind you of High School?

Love Shack by the B-52's

"Then & Now" - Favorite TV Show?

Growing Pains & CSI

"Then & Now" - Favorite Band?

B-52's and Fall Out Boy

"Then & Now" - Nickname?

Squeaky and Squeaky

What do you think would be the biggest difference(s) between graduating in 1990 and graduating in 2010?

We seemed so small and innocent and in 2010 they seem so much older.
