Mike Herman, (my uncle Mike) funny, a poker expert, geography aficionado, travel lover, devoted husband, father, grandpa, uncle, cousin, brother, wedding official and loyal friend. He filled every room with laughter, light, and that unmistakable spark that was all his own. There was never a dull moment when he was around, just quick wit, a big heart, and unforgettable long stories. We’ll miss you deeply, but we know Heaven just got a lot livelier. Rest easy, uncle Mike I’ll miss your smile and your jokes. from his niece Jacquelyn Kotarek.

I remember Mike from high school.  He matched the memories that are displayed by his niece in the post about his passing.  Rest in peace Mike.

I remember Mike Herman too. He was the smiling, funny kid from California. The cool guy with the multicolored garage door and great sense of humor. He and his wife, Patsy, came to visit in 2004. What a pleasure to see him again. Rest in peace, Michael. You were a good friend, and a fine person,

Mike and I were in elementary school from 5th grade. We became good friends, going to movies at the downtown theaters, and Buffalo Bison's baseball games at the old Offerman stadium. Mike was well into pop music, dancing and having parties. Once into junior high and senior high we were in different classes. He did well to keep in contact with me, frequently sending video clips or jokes. I will remember his smile and his laughter. RIP, Mike. You are missed.
