The month before Steve died he came up to our cabin and he and Dave spent one night with us. My memories of our time there will always be treasured. He never lost his sense of humor and even though we knew what was coming, it is never easy. I am very sad, and will miss him terribly.

So very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I lost touch with him after high school. He was truly a good guy.

I feel the same way all of you have posted . I saw him a couple of times over the past few years . He was such a kind hearted person . I will always remeber him holding my hand at the reunion as one of our class members was telling me about a surgery he had just had and I was due to have in a few weeks . I was nervouse and scared .Steve kept telling me I was going to be just fine, and I was . I told him many times he was my hero after his surgery . I will miss his Halloween party pics on face book . He helped so many people put thier lives back in order . We need more Steves in this world .Love you Steve X XXX

I was not a close friend of Steve's but had known him since grade school and he always had a place in my heart. You could not be in his presence without feeling love, kindness and humor. A wonderful man. We will miss him greatly.

These things are always hard to hear, but this one is just.....words fail me....Steve was a great friend in high school and I looked forward to seeing him at every reunion, and we emailed each other in the interim. He was just a nice, nice, nice guy and he will be missed. R.I.P. Steve and have a sour thingy for me up there, he'll know what thats about.

Steve was always such a nice person; he always had time to stop a chat with me. I'm very sure that he will be missed.Scott McDade
We've lost so many classmates recently, and every one of them hurts. But hearing about Steve's passing so suddenly has hit me particularly hard. He and I were never really close, but I always liked him for his upbeat personality. I admired and envied him for the way he could talk to anybody. He was so friendly and open and full of fun. He had a way of making things more cheerful wherever he was. Steve – really? Steve Anderson? I'm so sorry.

I am so sad to hear of Steve's passing!! Just about a year after our reunion makes it even worse. Fortunately I was able to talk to Steve for quite a while at the reunion. We had a lot of fun reminiscing about our high school classes and catching up on what we have be doing since then. There are too many of our classmates who are passing on lately--I hope it slows down. I am glad to have known you, Steve.
