I do not remember Robert from school, but am greatly saddened to see that another classmate has passed on.

Wow - Bob James. He was the guy I always wanted to be. Athletic, good looking, funny, smooth and a hit with the ladies. I think it was a motorcycle accident that knocked him low. I don't think he ever got back to where he was.

He had an early '50's Chevy wagon (a Woody?) that was outfitted with a blanket (in case it was ever needed!), an 8 track and several Pine Tree air fresheners. Supreme cruising in all it's magnificence!

I haven't seen Bob in years but have occasionally thought about him and how he was doing. RIP, OB.

I knew Bob fairly well, room mates in 1967 for a few months, went sailing for the first time on his family's 25 foot Coronodo. Bob and I had a close call sailing a Malibu Outrigger he built. Weather came up and we overturned a mile off Alki Point.  We got out of it with Bob's ingenuity and also someone ashore had called the Coast Guard.  Didn't need the Coasties, but was good to know they were there.

A man of many talents, Bob built boats and his house.  I remember the Chevrolet wagon that Steve mentions.

I bought a 1959 Alfa Romeo Spider from Bob. Thanks Bob, that was a fun car......

Steve Morris nicely sums up Bob. Handsome, athletic, smart, funny, great personality, Bob had it all.

Really saddened to hear of Bob's passing.....

I'll submit some photos at a later date.....

RIP Bob

This rips my heart out. I was very close to a number of guys and Bob was certainly one of them. He was truly a free spirt and a great guy. He was everything everyone says and more. He was very  smart, good looking, athletic, talented, funny, popular. He was the most overall talented  guy I every knew yet so care free....He finally started taking life more seriously and he got in a motorcycle accident that almost killed him. He was truly a guy with no limits until then. RIP my friend. Ken
