After attending two years at Highline J.C. Kip was drafted into the U.S. Navy. After extensive schooling, he became a Submariner. While serving, he also became a Chief Petty Officer. He continued his education and got a BA in Computer Science and a BA in Business. He worked for Kaiser Permanente for 30 years and retired due to a stroke and a rare blood disease. He lived in Hawaii for 17 years with his wife, Linda, raising two daughters and a dog! (the only dog that could surf with him) He returned to "Gods Country" in '85, still working for Kaiser. He would tell you he had a good life with his high school sweetheart for 40 years and was blessed in many ways. He loved his family as well as John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, The Bee Gees and the Eagles! He was a good, humble man who had a lot of integrity and drive. His family misses him dearly....
