Helen Stick (Imber)

 1946  -  August 12, 2022

Helen Lee Imber was born in 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Kermit and Dorothy Stick and passed away peacefully August 12, 2022 at The Denver Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. Richard J. Imber; sister Linda Reece (husband Gary) of Seattle, Washington; brother Kermit Stick (wife Gina) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; brother Kurt Stick (wife Carol) of Bellingham, Washington; and nine nieces and nephews.

Helen attended school in Seattle, earned an English degree from the University of Washington, and enjoyed a 25 year career as a flight attendant for United Airlines based in Denver.

Helen was an avid reader and loved her book club (The Pickles). She was an excellent cook and was a longtime member of the Royal Gorge gourmet club. Helen was always kind, generous, and a devoted wife, sibling, and wonderful friend to many. She had a great sense of humor and was extremely bright, insightful, and unpretentious. Her honesty was fearless and her love was fierce. People wanted to be around Helen and she made people feel good. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

So very sad to learn of Helen's death. Helen was so much fun to be around. I loved her smile and that special twinkle in her eyes when she did. She had a quick wit and somehow I can still hear her laughter. As I recall, she was full of energy and spunk. My condolences to her family and many friends.

Helen was a person to look up to. She was quick with a smile and made everyone feel special. After reading her memorial it is clear that she lived her life in the same manner.
I was always envious of her beautiful handwriting. Mine was very scribbly compared to hers.
My sincere condolences to her family.
May the memories of Helen's life bring you peace.
