John Jacobs was one of the cool guys in school. I think half of the girls had a crush on him...how could you not...he had a great smile. I remember the shock of him being the first to die in our class...who would have thought it would be him. I will remember him in his football uniform, strolling the halls of Kennedy.

Following John's jam packed VW bus to Sun Lakes after graduation. After Matt Gentry's motorcycle got a flat tire on I-5. We both piled into John's rig that barely had room for two more bodies. I forget who was all onboard, but we did have enough beer. I believe Trautman, Naranjo, Opitz were part of this extravaganza. It was all about celebrating and little did we all know, that soon John would leave us. God Bless you Buddy. A toast to you.

I think of John often and especially at Homecoming game time. I was lucky to get to go to that dance with him. He was such a nice person. We had some good laughs at the Haunted House fund raiser for a cause his mom was working for. John had to work in the Mummy's Tomb and for some reason I had to wear an ape suit in a cage. We were both new our Junior year. I have his pictures and his memory in my heart. Always, Storm

I remember the night of the funeral, the Who concert was scheduled. We had our tickets forever. We voted to attend in honor of John. We celebrated him as Pete Townsend rocked. It felt very appropriate. Stay cool John-love Martha
