A big booming voice and a smile that would always light the room. Things I will always remember and miss about Jay. He was a good friend and I will always regret not keeping closer tabs on him and Rudell. They were a perfect match.
One takes a pause to reflect on our luck in sharing times when these events occur. Then the pain moves you on.
My fondest memories of Jay are from our Jr. High days are Sylvester. Lots of fun times together, especially swimming at his home on the lake or just "knocking" around together. I can't think of Jay without seeing that big warm smile of his, it truly lit up the room. The older I get, the more I cherish memories of good friends, too many that have left us. But God is good, and I look forward to seeing many again. God Bless!

Rest in peace old pal.

Jay was such a nice guy and his smile was infectious. Maybe I once had a teen crush on him.
RIP Jay.
