George "Coach" Moore, 79, of Burleson, a retired coach and administrator, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Burleson. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. George was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Johnson County to Jimmie and Leila Green Moore. He proudly served his country in the Army. He married Peggy Keen on May 21, 1955, in Burleson. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a devoted coach and administrator for the Burleson ISD for 19 years. George loved coaching basketball and watching his grandchildren play sports. He also loved playing golf and spending time with and eating lunch with Doug over the years. George was a very soft-spoken man who led by example. He was a member of First Baptist of Burleson. Survivors: Wife, Peggy Moore of Burleson; daughters, Donna Teaff and husband, Monty, of Burleson, Diane Moore of Crowley; son, Doug Moore and wife, Laura, of Burleson; sisters, Joyce and Cloyce; brother, Larry; grandchildren, Whitney, Brady, Blake, Hailey and Cannon; numerous extended family and friends.
