I remember hanging out with Brad, Eugene Montgomery, Johnny Ashcraft, and Danny Meador back in middle school. He was the first one to get the new Quiet Riot cassett and the first one to get Kappa's...I thought he was so cool. Man he was too young for this to happen and my heart goes out to his family.Paula Ussery (Woods)
I am in shock. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends. I know that this is a difficult time losing someone so close to thanksgiving as I did when I lost my dad in 9th grade this same week. I pray God will hold you each close to him and bring you comfort.Dana Hadsall

Perhaps one of the best things to have happen to me during my thousands of days in college . . . leaving the library at Texas A&M in the Fall of 1995, hair halfway down my back in a pony tail, bearded face . . . and I see this guy walking towards me . . . it's Brad, clean cut, looking healthy. We stop and almost simultaneously say each other's names with a curious pitch, hug, and just stare at each other with smiling faces . . . Long way from our scripted roles of yester year that kept us at opposite ends of the spectrum. He and I seemed to keep running into each other that next year, and really got to know each other during that time and more during the runup to our 10 year reunion. It was tough going to his graveside service in Crowley . . . the second I've attended for a fellow Elk and Aggie (Adam X).
My best wishes to his family and all his friends. What a kind soul.
David
