| NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Ella Jean Shier, 32, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at an area hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Community Church, 251 Countryside Court in Southlake. Burial: Lonesome Dove Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst.
Ella Jean Shier was born March 16, 1971, in DeRidder, La. Ella assisted in the Mother's Day Out program through her church and in recent years was a homemaker.
Survivors: Husband, Wesley Shier of North Richland Hills; children, Brittany Shier, Erin Shier, Jonathan Shier and Nicolas Shier, all of North Richland Hills; parents, Martha and Willis Myers of Van; sister, Sara Powers of Canton; and numerous other family members and friends in Louisiana.

I remember riding in Ella's yellow Pinto, both of us laughing so hard about something stupid that we couldn't breathe. She was very shy, but was so warm and wonderful and caring. She was a good friend.
