My good friend Kelly!! I have been so out of touch I didn't know. This took me by surprise too. I pulled my yearbook out, closed my eyes and went back. I will miss her.
I was living in L.A. when Brenda Arnold called me with the news of Kelly's passing. I can't tell you how devastated I was to know that such a vibrant woman, wife and mother was gone. The world is a little less bright without her smile. We should never take life for granted.
Kelly was such a sweet girl. I remember going to her house and her parents had foster children that the family loved as their own. I'm sure that Kelly carried that unconditional love all of her life.
I remember Kelly well.. such a sweet person. If you think back she was the first girl at Cummings...to wear a mini skirt lol. We were all :O !! But she knew the fashion trend. She is and will be missed by many.
OK, here's a blast from the past...I remember getting stranded with a certain someone behind Broadview. We were in a car, just talking of course. We went to leave (in my dad's car of course) and the gate had been locked. He took off (duhhhhhhh) and I went to Kelly's house. I told my story about being at band practice and parking the car there, her mom just looked at me like "RRRRIIIGGGHHHTTT"...I had to call my dad to come, and let's just say it was ugly!! Kelly (and her mom) had my back though!! Neither EVER said a word. As I recall, I never heard from that certain someone again!
