Bob, I don't know about Zacks hotdogs being sold at the game but if you'd like to bring some along to share that would be appreciated ;)

Btw, I've updated the home page with many of these final details that we've been hammering out. Let me know if there are still any questions that need answering.

Thanks everyone, and looking forward to seeing you all...

Henry

Hi Everyone!

I'm REALLY sorry that I will not be able to attend the reunion, especially after reading all the comments from fellow classmates and looking at the pictures! OMG! Time goes by so quickly!

I have seen Donna Burch, Grant Fox, and Wendy Capps earlier in the summer around town and asked if they were coming to the reunion. I gave Donna the web address and Grant and Wendy(and Hal) were positives, I think. It will be great remembering the past with everyone.

I have fond memories of those classmates who have passed away. Jan and/or I were in class with all of them at one time or another. I saw Lorie Bridger's mom not too long ago. Lorie's death is still so fresh for her(I think Lorie passed away within the last five years). She is devastated! Lorie left behind a loving husband and children as well.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! Enjoy your time together. I'm sure many new memories will be made!

Fondly,

Joan Buchanan Dawson("Buchanan Twin")

Brad beautifully included Turrentine. There were a lot of us that went to Burlington Day School (BDS). I am proud to say it. It was a great place. I've reminisced with a few BDS students and came up with my own theory. The boys were "special needs" students and the girls were "gifted and talented." LOL...Anyway, for those of us that were fortunate to go to BDS, this songs for us!
And especially in tribute to Lorie Bridgers...

Hello Everyone,
It has been great reading everyone's posts and seeing Brad's pictures! I will not be able to attend this weekend either, Tommy's niece is getting married at the beach. I have many fond memories of WHS and the Class of 1979. I hope you have a wonderful time and take lots of pictures for those of us that cannot attend.

Okay guys, I feel really retarded, but I've spent too many consecutive days reading State budgets and I'm now just seeing this message forum - and I'm on the reunion committee and I'm one of the administrators!!!!

When I ready Bob's listing of all the cars, I want to go on the record saying I do NOT want to be remembered for my MOTHER'S yellow Pacer. It was not mine, even if I drove it since I didn't have another car to drive.

When I finally got my car in 11th grade, I had a chocolate brown Fiat X19 - and it was hot - not like a yellow lemon shaped cheap ass car Pacer. So remember me for my hot chocolate T-top convertible that Maria Lilly and I got about 100 speeding tickets in - not the yellow sorry low life cheap as could be Pacer!

Am I making myself clear and am I carrying the high school chip on my shoulder long enough? Love you guys - can't wait to see you all Friday and Saturday.

P.S. I'm getting into Burlington early evening on Friday - anyone game for going to Zach's Friday evening before the game??????

Mel, I do remember your Fiat! Yes, I will be there although I believe I am going to be fried (and I don't mean drunk) because I posted a few pictures...hehehehe.

My Zack's hot dog I V drip will commence about five minutes after arriving in Burlington around 3:00 pm. I'm checking to see if the Marriott will deliver Zack's as room service the whole time I am there.

lol @ Bob.

Brad! Worried a little bit about you! For god's sake did you have to work a little? The good news is you are back. I've already called Zacks. They are going to set up a portable Zacks in the Marriott parking lot. They heard Rick Schneeman's coming too!

Bob Williamson

Mel, I barely remember the Fiat. Please be more convincing as Brad tends to be very gullible.

08/26/09 09:45 PM #149

Brad Herring

No, I do remember the Fiat although it took her mentioning it for me to remember. I have that sometimer's disease. (not as harsh as that allthetimer's).

I did a little bit of work today but didn't want to fully commit myself to it.

The Zack's stand sounds good. Hope they are open all night.

Brad, You will not have any problems with the ladies on Saturday night if you eat at Zack's as much as you say. My parents still live in Burlington and I make the trip pretty much every week. Every time I go, I swing by Zack's. When I get home, my girlfriend will not come near me from the lingering smell of the chili and onions. She just does not understand. Also, it can stick with you for days. See you Saturday. Marshall

Bob Williamson

Hey Marsh!!!!!

08/26/09 09:54 PM #152

Brad Herring

Good to hear from you Marshall! I do remember the smell and the lingering.

True story....Many years ago, my wife and a car load of her friends went up to Burlington to the outlets to shop. I told her don't even think about coming home if she wasn't bringing home some Zack's.

Well, she did go by Zack's and picked up about a dozen and put them in the trunk. I told her to get them double bagged so the chili grease wouldn't bleed through the bag and get on anything.

They made it halfway home and had to pull over. About four of the girls got so sick they started throwing up.....LMAO!!!!!!!!

She did manage to convince them that there was no way she was throwing them away before she got home.

In high school my record was 9 combinations and three cokes in one sitting. I still haven't worked the fat off from them. I have just been adding to it.....lol.

Brad, I am pretty confident that you will trash that record on Friday. Bob, I might make it to the game. If so, I will see you there. Marshall

Marshall...
Like old times...
You gotta be there!

I think this will be a great homecoming...

The best yet.
