Susan "Rene' " Fowler has recently passed away. Ms. Rene' Fowler, 48, of 1215 Rockwood Avenue, Burlington died at her residence on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11 p.m.

A native of Burlington, she was the daughter of the late Clinton D. Fowler and Sarah Hudgins Fowler, who survives. She was a graduate of Williams High School. Susan played collegiate basketball at Louisburg College and was an avid sports lover. She was an employee at Wal-Mart.

In addition to her mother of the home, survivors include two brothers, Eric Fowler and Tanna McAteer and Darryl Fowler and Tammy Fowler; a sister, Sabrina Reid and Jeffrey Reid; three nieces, Shana Williams, Erica Fowler and Cortney Fowler; and a life partner, Patty Lallo of the home.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Gary Gates. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
