Miss Dondi Theron Alston

BURLINGTON — Miss Dondi Theron Alston, 45, of 1408 Sharpe Road, died February 14, 2008, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Chapel Hill, she was a member of St. Matthew’s AME Church of Saxapahaw, where she was the president of the Usher Board, secretary of the Minnie Person Miss Society, Quarterly Conference secretary, worked on the Kitchen Committee and was a member of the Cancer Society.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Mrs. Norma Jean Alston Evans and Mr.Preston J. Evans, of Burlington; a son, Brandon L. Alston of Elon; a half brother, James Derick Mack of Greensboro; a half sister, Ann Mack of Greensboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2008, at St. Matthew’s AME Church, Saxapahaw. The body will be placed in the church from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
