Sad to lose another classmate, thankful that so many of us are still hanging around. I sure enjoyed visiting with everyone that showed up at the 50+1 reunion in August.

Dave was not a real close friend, but I do have good memories of him. He had this old 1956 Buick (I think) that didn't have a reverse gear in it, and he gave several of us rides to and from the pea fields where we were driving the viners. Sometimes one of us would drive the car when we changed fields, and sometimes the driver would forget about not having reverse and pull into a spot that required pushing it backwards to get going again. Plus, Dave made some high speed runs down those rural roads trying to get a couple of us to the high school in time for our Babe Ruth League baseball game after work. We would pile out even before the car came to a stop and sprint over to the diamond. Fun times.

Rest in peace, Dave.

I am so sad to hear of Dave's passing. Dave was my best friend in school. We met when we were sophomores and hit it off immediately. We went to many parties the last three years and got into trouble along the way. We even spent five days in jail together for an open container violation. Dave and I got our low draft numbers the same day during the summer of 1970. We decided to join the military instead of waiting to be called up. He chose the Air Force and I joined the Army. After we got out of the service we hung out like we did back in school. Dave and his wife and my wife and I played on a darts team for Gene's tavern and we had a bast. No matter how bad my day was going, Dave had a way of making me feel better. We continued to see eachother for drinks at Gene's tavern for many years. But when I stopped drinking I would only see him every now and then when I would go to Gene's for their take out chicken basket dinners. It always took me a little longer to take dinner home when Dave was at the tavern because we had to visit for a while. He was a good friend and it hurts knowing that he's not bringing smiles to everyone around him (at least not on earth). I will miss you Dave, may God bless you. Your friend, Polo

When I first saw the name David Bressler I wasn't sure who that was but as soon as I saw his smile I remembered him,  He had the biggest smile and was always so kind. I haven't seen him since I moved away from the valley but his kindness can never be forgotten. RIP David.  Sending prayers to his family.

It was so sad to hear about Dave.  He was always the guy that was smiling!  I remember meeting him in Freshman Washington History class and his laugh!  He will be missed by many I’m sure.

Dave must have been born a happy guy. We met up in the 8th grade at LU. On the first day Mr. Kink called him Bissel. Bissel it was. Dave Bressler was an original member of "Mike Jip & Steve" from "Little Ferdinand" fame. What happened was after one practice Dave, the smart one bowed out of ever getting on stage and making a,,,by that time I'd already painted up the poster for the 8th grade talent show. The photo pictured on my Facebook thing. The poster read "Mike Jip & Dave". What to do? Steve Sooter was eager to join the major line-up and did. Dave Bresslers' name was painted over and Steves' name added. Today, if you hold the poster up to the light it reads Mike Jip Steve &  DAVE   D A V E

I'm sad to hear about David. Karen Randall, David and I use to live next to each other. Back when we went to good old Lucille Umbarger, 2nd or 3rd grade I think.

He use to have a big crush on Karen. We would go to the creek and catch polly wogs, and during winter try a walk on the frozen water. I think he might have fallen in a couple times.

We didn't keep in touch much in High School but I'll always remember that big smile he had. He was a good friend

Take Care David
