This is very sad news. I hadn't seen Steve in many years but I remember the kind boy he was. Prayers go out to his family. Keep him alive in your hearts by remembering the fun memories.
I was so sad to hear about Steve passing. We knew each other since kindergarten, He was one of my very first Friends! We spent a lot of time playing together since our families were so close. Lots of wonderful memories of Steve, he was always such a sweet person and my heart goes out to all of Steve's Family and close Friends.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Steve's passing. Steve and I had a lot of good times during high school and for the years after. From cruzin' the "Gut" in Mount Vernon playing Purple Haze at full volume on the 8 track to later years meeting at Gianelli's Tavern on Hwy 20 for Sunday dinner of ham and cheese sandwiches, beer and pool games. We even got pretty good at Pong games. I always saw Steve as "Fearless" but inside he had a quiet and reserved side. He was definitely "One of a Kind" and will be missed by many. I am so glad that I was fortunate enough to have had the friendship of Steve. Steve will live forever in my heart.
Steve was dedicated to serving our community as a Port Commissioner, as a member of The Burlington Edison Kiwanis and wherever an opportunity arrived to make a difference in our valley and kids lives. I will miss his smile, handshake and kindness. LeAnne
