
Leland John Forcht II
Leland John Forcht II of Butler lost his fight against cancer Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born on Oct. 23, 1955, in Butler, he was the son of the late John Christian Forcht and Sally Ann Phillips Forcht.
Lee was a 1974 graduate of Butler Area Senior High School and a lifetime member of the Boy Scouts of America.
Although Lee had many interests, music was his primary focus. He was an accomplished drummer and performed with many bands of the past, including, The Country Heirs, Maxx Packard, Midnight Flier, Hatties Yazoo, Rough Cut and Yazoo. Lee's other musical talents included playing guitar and singing.
It has often been said "Lee is such a nice guy!" Not only was Lee a son and brother he was a great friend.
Lee is survived by his mother, Sally Ann Phillips Forcht; his two sisters, Roseann Ludolff of Valencia and Rebecca Forcht of Butler; his two nieces; his two step-nephews; his great-nephew; his uncle, Ronald Phillips of Dormont; and a number of cousins.
FORCHT - A gathering of family and friends of Leland John Forcht II, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, will be after cremation.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
