Richard E. RussoRichard E. Russo, 56, of Butler died unexpectedly Friday morning in the emergency department of Butler Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 12, 1955, in Butler, he was the son of Emilio A. and Ann A. (Cygan) Russo, who survive. Richard was a 1974 graduate of Butler High School, had received an associate degree in business from Butler County Community College and worked at IBIS Tek. Richard was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church in Lyndora. He also had attended St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora, was a proud organ donor, loved music, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, having held season tickets for home games since the 1980s. Surviving are his wife, Susan M. (Prenovitz) Russo, whom he married Oct. 16, 1993; his daughter, Laura A. McGraw and her husband, Casey; and two sisters, Sandra Mason Massey and her husband, Richard, and Carol Johnson and her husband, Mark, all of Butler. He also is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, and his two beloved pals, Tucker and Bella.RUSSO - Friends of Richard E. Russo, 56, who died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, will be received at the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Joseph Wargo, pastor of St. Andrew Church, and the Rev. Paisius McGrath, pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, will concelebrate. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
