
Jon W. "Jack" Lewis, 75, of Butler, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
Born Aug. 21, 1946, he was a son of the late Helen (Stiebel) Lewis.
He was retired from the Armco Steel Plant in Butler, following 42 years, where he was a lineman and vice president on the Armco Steel Union. He was also a trustee for Butler Armco Zanesville retiree VEBA.
He was licensed in real estate sales, was an avid weight lifter, when in 1967 he was the first man in Butler County to lift over 400 pounds, and in 1968 he was the first man to press 450 pounds. He was an avid hunter earlier in life, and he became an advocate for animals.
His most precious gifts were his family and his faith. He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, and was in the 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Mergel) Lewis; his two daughters, Maria Elena (Kyle) Depew and Helen Aurica Lewis, both of Butler; his grandchildren, Jon and Caliope Depew; and one brother, Raymond Joseph Lewis.
LEWIS - Private services and burial were held for the family of Jon W. "Jack" Lewis, who died Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Arrangements were handled by GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Rest In His Peace my friend of it seems forever. I am sure that though missed here already you are now in His hands and well again. Remember going to the Mr. Teenage Pittsburgh contest together and a million or so reps in a variety of weight rooms along the journey!
