I remember Lynn in grade school at McQuistion Elementary. A nice quiet kid who brought saltine cracker and jelly sandwiches for lunch,no peanut butter just jelly. Lost track of him after grade school. Funny the things you remember.

I was in Lynn's grade school class from the first through sixth grade.  He was a close neighbor who rode the same bus to and from school, and, in the elementary years, spent much time at each others homes. I was always impressed with how much time Lynn's father spent doing things with Lynn and his friends.  Model airplanes was his big hobby - the kind that were tethered to a control yoke and the operator had to continuously turn as the airplane flew in circles.  This was before the time of remote controlled cars and planes. Lynn was close friends with Ben and Ron Vensel as well as Dick Stroup.  They loved taking empty CO2 cartridges used in their pellet guns and tried to make rockets - sometime to their detriment. They loved fireworks and year around were armed with an arsenal of illegal cheery bombs.  I recall one winter day while I was delivering the Butler Eagle in their neighborhood, they pelted me with snowballs that were loaded with a lit cherry bomb. I will always remember Lynn and the fun times we had.  Great age - great time.

Thank you Richard for Lynn Meier's memorial. He was indeed special, fun

and a great loss to the family. I visit his parents Ralph and Sophie every time I travel to Butler and they are still going strong at 93. It will be good to reminisce at the reunion.  Thanks, Gloria Romanyshyn Meier
