In Memory

Cheryl "Patterson" (Armstrong)

Cheryl Patterson (Armstrong)

Cheryl K. Armstrong was born on Sept. 16, 1946, in Butler, where she attended Butler Area High School. Cheryl passed away on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021.
After graduation, she attended and received her license from Mason Felix Beauty Academy in Pittsburgh.
Cheryl was a manager of a salon when she met Brian, who had just been discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1965. They were married on Sept. 16, 1967. Brian and Cheryl were blessed with two children, Tim, who was born in 1969, and Vickie, who was born in 1972; the love of their lives and their pride and joy.
Cheryl loved being a wife and mother. Life was football games and team Mom, organizing banquets and baking pies, gymnastics competitions and fundraisers, selling and eating a lot of M&M's, and CCD teacher and eucharistic minister. Faith and love of God was always important to Cheryl.
Church friends and family were always welcome for picnics, pool parties, volleyball and, of course, card games, to finish off the evening.
Cher and her family moved to Florida in January 1992 to enjoy warm weather and start new careers in the Sunshine State.
Cheryl's surviving family members include her husband, Brian of Hudson, Fla.; their son, Tim, and his wife, Nicky, of Brooksville, Fla.; and their daughter, Vickie, and her husband, Bob, and grandson, Bodie, of Raleigh, N.C.; her sister, Denise of Butler; her sister-in-law, Kathy Armstrong of Indiana, Pa.; her brother-in-law, Dick Ordy of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was a generous, loving and good-hearted person, with a strong faith and a deep trust in God. She knew that her prayers were always answered, and the good Lord knew what was best in every circumstance.
ARMSTRONG - Arrangements for Cheryl K. Armstrong, who died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, were handled by Downing Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1214 Wendy Court, Spring Hill, Fla.
