It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelia J. Matson of Butler, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Smith and Martha Stewart Smith; and her sister Cheryl Tucker. She is survived by : her husband Joseph H Matson; her daughters, Traci Lowry (John) of Oak Ridge, NC and Kelli Geist (Chad) of Sykesville, MD; her grandchildren, Tara, Shaun, Xander and Aubrey; her sister Kelly Smith of Slippery Rock, PA; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Tucker of Butler, PA and Maryann Matson of Butler, PA. She is also survived by one niece; and six nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1st 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home, Inc. (124 E North St, Butler, PA 16001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2nd 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. (124 E North St, Butler, PA 16001).
