Dee Ann Roberts Lucas (July 29, 1958 - August 20, 2010) died on Friday, August 20, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ted Lucas, Jr. and her sister Mary Alice Onofrey.
Dee Ann was survived by her mother and step-father, Jo Ann and Dick Newcomb of Camden, AR her father and step-mother, Bill and Patricia Roberts of Houston, TX. She is also survived by three children to whom she was a loving and devoted mother, son, Bobby Ted "Buck" Lucas III of San Diego, CA, Christian Lucas of Camden, AR and daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Damon Rowlett, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Rowlett all of Camden, AR.
Dee Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Camden where she loved to spend her time helping with the youth group and colunteering in the Food Pantry. She was also a member of the Camden Junior Auxiliary and was an employee of the Ouachita County Medical Center Chemical Dependency Unit. She was an integral part of founding New Beginnings and was a supporter and member of Alcoholics Anonymous. She attended Hendrix College in 1976.
Visitation was held Sunday at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. Funeral services were held Monday, August 23 rd at First United Methodist Church with entombment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Ratliff officiated. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the organization of your choice.
